Our Therapists

Katie — Founder, Counsellor & Creative-Therapy Practitioner

Katie is the Director of the space and a passionate therapist committed to supporting teens, and young women, through creative, relational, and evidence-informed approaches.

She holds a Bachelor of Counselling from Edith Cowan University and brings specialist training in Sand Tray Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, supporting emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and self-awareness. Katie holds Dual Diploma in Youth Work, Mental Health, and Alcohol and Other Drug Use. Furthermore, she has completed advanced training in trauma and attachment.

Katie’s work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and neuro-affirming principles, with a strong focus on creating spaces that feel safe, inclusive, and deeply respectful of each person’s individual experience.

With extensive experience across a range of settings, Katie brings a practical and compassionate understanding of the emotional, developmental, and relational challenges faced. She has a particular passion for sand tray therapy as a powerful expressive modality, and for group work that fosters connection, belonging, and shared growth among clients.

Katie is especially passionate about supporting young people and young women to strengthen identity, build resilience, and develop meaningful tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-understanding.

At the heart of her work is a belief that healing happens through connection, creativity, and feeling truly seen—and that every young person deserves a space where they can safely be themselves.
